I hunted with Rocky outfitters the first week of rifle season 2014. Rocky and his son Mike are some of the best guides I have ever hunted with. They are both very knowledgeable about the animals and the terrain. I would recommend this hunt to anyone, young or old, novice or expert hunter. The food and lodging are great and they have a lot of great animals.
I was lucky enough to take my first mule deer and a gorgeous pronghorn in just 2 days. Thanks again Rocky and Mike for a great time! Dan W

Subject: Pronghorn Hunt

Sorry for the late reply but I was busy at work and forgot all about it.

My son (Marcus) and I hunted with Rocky and Mike this October for pronghorn. We drove up from Texas and fished a few days out of Casper before heading to Rocky's property. We put our bags up in the cabin, sighted in our guns and started our hunt. Mike thought there might be a nice buck over a couple of hills and our stalk began. Marcus and Mike climbed up the second hill and they were there. Marcus made a 180 yard shot and the first tag was filled.

The next morning we located another herd with a couple of bucks. We spent a couple of hours getting in position but then I filled my tag with another nice buck. Our hunt was over but one nice thing about this property is it is very close to the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse.

I highly recommend hunting with Mike and Rocky.

This was my forth hunting trip with Rocky Outfitters. Every year I hunt with Rocky, Mike, Harry, and Dave I am reminded of why I book hunts with them. These guys are fun to be around and know what to look for in a trophy animal. There is no shortage of animals to select from. The fun part is spotting a quality animal and executing a good stalk. That is where a quality guide really shines and these guys are quality guides. The accommodations provided are extremely comfortable, good meals, and good company and conversation with Rocky and the guys. I have harvested a number of deer with each of them being a very positive experience and extremely good time. I would refer anyone looking to experience a great hunt, great time, and memorable hunting experience to book with Rocky Outfitters without hesitation. I know my son and I are looking forward to booking a hunt in the very near future with Rocky.

I would like to say how much I enjoyed hunting with ya'll. I had dreamed of killing a nice mule deer and ya'll worked hard to make it happen despite the less than favorable weather... Everything was great from the guides to the food. This will be a hunt that I look forward to doing every year that I possibly can. Best hunt for the price in MT!!!!! Tell Dave that I will be able to keep up with him next year hell or high water and shoot better!!!!!

Just the way you didn't even hesitate to go after the buck we got and how you went ahead to locate the buck.... it was special. It reminded me of the hunts I went on a long time ago in California. I will remember this for a long time. Thanks to you and Rocky for the special memories. You are what hunting is all about. Until we hunt again, happy trails.

I've hunted in Montana with Mike and Rocky Niles of Rocky Outfitters since 1989. I've always had a great time and a quality hunt with them. I would recommend anybody looking to hunt deer to give them a call. They have quality leases in both states and you would not go wrong in booking with them.

I have now had the opportunity to hunt in Montana with Rocky Outfitters. What has amazed me both times is the number of quality animals Mike and Rocky can put in front of you. Whitetails or Mule Deernot only do these guy have the animals, but they have the patients and the know how to get you your shot. (Maybe more than one if you have trouble shooting like I did.) Thank you so much for a great hunting trip in Nov. 2011. My brother Tony and I had the best time. We saw more nice bucks with you in 5 days , than I've seen at home in 5 years. Dave & Mike,

I wanted to drop you a line to thank you all for a great hunting trip in Montana. The amount of deer we saw was incredible, the 1st night I bet I had 40 deer walking by my blind, Whitetail and Mule Deer. Everyday and night after that was about the same. I have been to alot of outfitters around the USA and I have never seen anything like it. We hunted with Dave and he worked very hard to make our hunt successful, and on my favorite day of the year to hunt (Halloween) I got my first Mule Deer. I am a fanatical Whitetail hunter but when I saw those Mule Deer I became a big fan real quick and there were a ton of them to look at. When those 2 big bucks come walking up that Halloween morning I thought they were cows, they were just so big. Dave was a great guide and has a gifted eye for spotting deer at long distances or for that matter any distance. Next time i come out and decide I am going to try and follow Dave walking I will bring 2 asthma inhalers and a cardiac crash kit, the guy is like a machine walking across those hills. Well again thanks for a great hunt in a beautiful part of the country.
